Dear Friends,

This December, Soldier’s Heart co-founders Ed Tick and Kate Dahlstedt will co-lead Soldier’s Heart’s 16th annual Healing and Reconciliation Journey to Viet Nam.  Our in-country guide and ARVN veteran Tran Song will assist us.  Our journey will focus on healing old war wounds, achieving forgiveness and reconciliation between American and Vietnamese vets and civilians, immersing in the wonderful people, culture, country and spirituality of the real Viet Nam, helping rebuild Viet Nam as we heal Americans, and practicing the healing of deep trauma.  All our journeys to Viet Nam are unforgettable experiences of healing, forgiveness, restoration, peace making and joy.

The journey is designed in part around the interests and experiences of our veterans and survivors.  The journey will include several days in Ho Chi Minh City and the Mekong Delta, with a visit to the school we built there. We will determine our additional stops by the needs of our travelers.

The Vietnamese are waiting for us.  We will be welcomed as honored guests everywhere in their country and we will experience both personal growth and healing and the collective healing we bring to nations when we join together on the mission of war healing for everyone.

These are not pre-packaged tours.  Each journey is uniquely designed for the healing and educational needs of our participants. We are now taking reservations for this journey.  We are also taking information from veterans or family members about particular places in country that you need to visit.

Projected full cost for the journey is $3,900 plus international airfare.  The price includes all land, sea and air travel in Viet Nam, all hotels, all guides, admissions and fees and

philanthropy projects in Viet Nam.  Soldier’s Heart is an NGO in Viet Nam, always carrying on healing projects that benefit both countries.  Your only in-country expenses are some meals on your own, personal purchases, and a tip for our in-country guide.

Please contact us as soon as possible if you are interested in joining us and forward your $500 deposit (includes $100 non-refundable registration fee).   Contact us if you have any questions or concerns that you would like to explore. If you are a veteran and finances are difficult or limited for you, please contact us anyway.  We have a matching financial aid fund to help bring veterans or family members back to Viet Nam, and we have guided veterans in raising money for the trip in their home communities.

We keep our groups small and personal and already have many inquiries.  We invite you to make reservations soon to ensure your participation.  We look forward to hearing from you and traveling together on the adventure of a lifetime.

Hoa Binh means Peace in Vietnamese.  Help us make peace and bring healing to our veterans, our countries, and the world.
