We charge for our retreats in order to defray the expenses of providing food and lodging and the guidance of two highly-qualified facilitators for four days and three nights.
Thanks to generous donors, we have some funds set aside to offer financial asssitance to troops, veterans, and family members.
Our financial assistance is for people whose total household incomes are in the low range. Running retreats is costly. The Soldier’s Heart staff work hard to raise such funds, which takes resources away from our other work. We don’t like to turn people away for lack of funds, especially veterans. However, we do need to limit how many scholarships we give for any one event. If your household income is low, you will need to fill out a financial assistance request form IN ADDITION TO the registration form. Once we have both of these, a determination will be made about the level of your assistance.
In order to keep the work going, we ask that each participant pay what they can toward the cost of the retreat.
