Level I Training Retreat

July 14-17, 2016

Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, NY.
Led by Edward Tick, PhD & Kate Dahlstedt, MA, LMHC.

A Level I training is a further exploration of the Soldier’s Heart Model of transformation from war veteran to Spiritual Warrior. Designed for those who work with troops, veterans and their loved ones, this weekend will give participants a comprehensive understanding of the inner world of those who have experienced combat and military culture and the essential role of community in the re-integration process. Participants will gain an understanding of the Necessities of Return, the role of the Sacred Witness and how they can be implemented

Kate Dahlstedt, M.A., LMHC, co-founder of Soldier’s Heart, has worked with veterans and their families for over 27 years.  She developed and directs the Soldier’s Heart Women and War project.  She also c0-leads journeys of healing and reconciliation to Viet Nam and Greece

Edward Tick, Ph.D., co-founder of Soldier’s Heart and author of War and the Soul, has worked with veterans for over 30 years. He co-leads journeys of healing and reconciliation to Viet Nam and Greece.  He also lectures at civilian, military, and educational institutions around the world.
