We need help to provide services to returning veterans!

Fund Raising

We receive many requests from veterans who want to attend our retreats, but cannot afford it. We want to assure that no vet in need of healing is turned away. To follow through on this commitment, we need people experienced in fund raising to help us provide money for retreat scholarships and to cover the costs of other services we provide to vets. Funding is our most pressing need. If you are an experienced fund raiser and want to help, please contact us!

Volunteer in Your Community

Veteran support has to happen within the community. Volunteering doesn't necessarily mean volunteering for Soldier's Heart. Find out what's happening for veterans in your community by contacting the nearest Veterans Administration office or other veterans agencies. Find a way to plug in to those existing services. Volunteer for any organization that fosters awareness of and responds to the unique set of issues faced by men and women returning from combat, and by their families and loved ones.

Check our Regional Contacts page to see if there is a contact person near you.

If there are no services for returning veterans in your community, we will be happy to speak with you about how to begin planting some seeds. Call 518-274-0501 or email us at .

In March 2011 Adrene Royal received the Outstanding Volunteer Award.
